Philly Connection in Auburn

I'm from out of town and love eating at this place when I come to Auburn. The website said they closed at 10 PM. Me and my kids pulled up at 7:55 to see a sign saying 8PM. As I parked and walked up the manager turned the open light off. I pulled on the door which was still unlocked. The manager told me she couldn't make us a sandwich because she turn her grill off. In trying time like now small businesses should want the money. We always spend close to $40+ and they just lost that, and I will probably never go back bc of it.

Solid counter service philly sandwich. They closed most of these near me. Nice to get one on the road.

Food is fresh cooked, fries and sandwiches are GREAT!

Mask NOT over the nose while cooking, I didn't want to eat

It's nestled in a small commercial area off the Auburn exit. The staff was friendly. The took a lot longer than I thought it would, but the food tasted good, so all in all, good experience.

Terrible service from the owner and she treats her employees like dirt. I watched her fuss at a thoughtful employee that placed 2 packages of ketchup in my bag with my curly fries. It's only right to give someone that orders fries ketchup. It's not as though she placed an entire handful of ketchup in the bag. After she made the woman take the ketchup out, and I had to ask her to replace it and apologized for the outrageous behavior she has to put up with. Geeze, I don't see how such a place can win awards.

Wow, this is a great place for tasty food. The staff are very friendly and they have large TVs playing sports. The facilities, including restrooms, are very clean.One of the best Philly cheese steak sandwiches I've ever had.---------Stopped there again yesterday. WOW, another great Philly cheese steak. I noticed they have some great deals.

Great philly, excellent service. The floor was a bit sticky and the bathroom a little scary, but the kitchen was good!

We love this place! The owner is a survivor of 9/11 who moved here to start over with his family. The owner, his family, and all of their employees are friendly, courteous, and dedicated to customer service. Their subs and cheese steaks are there best in the area, in my opinion. I've only had their wings once, with lemon pepper, and they were fairly good but not something I would create. Other flavors may be better. Do yourself a favor and try an order of spuds!

While the prices are a tad high, the food is truly delicious. The steak used in the sandwiches is high quality and the portioning is generous. I particularly like the offering of sweet potato fries, which are quite tasty but seldom found on menus elsewhere.

The food here was good. I had the 20 wings and 2 steak and chicken combos. Their prices are higher than the average small fast food spot. The restaurant was clean with accommodations availabke for dine in. There were a few customers eating in. The food was prepared to order and we did wait a few minutes, but all in all it was worth the wait, about 15 minutes. I would visit this place again.

They build the best cheesesteak sandwich I've ever eaten,had not heard of a cheesesteak until they came to town

I'm not a Philly Connection fan but we wanted something quick that wasn't a burger. When we arrived; we were the only people there. Service was quick and good. Food was ok. Restaurant was clean. Bathroom was clean.

Don’t sleep on the chicken cheesesteaks! Throw some buffalo sauce and blue cheese dressing on it for the win. I butchered the pic when I added those but we are trying to get to flavortown. Then trade your homey for half his regular mushroom cheese. Double cheese on both. American and provolone. They have amazing sides like Texas tator Tots with jalapeño and cheese in them. Dip those in honey mustard. Sweet potato fries are also great. Blue cheese for those. We always grab another one because they heat up so well. Great service as always. Perfect for tailgates!

Used to eat there every time I passed thru Auburn. It was great. Last two times, as others have stated, steak lacked any flavor. They have changed recently and not for the better. Don’t know if it’s the whole chain or just this one location.

I love the Philly Connection in Auburn. The food is always delicious and made just the way I order it. They have the best Philly's in the area so everytime I am headed to Auburn I make a special trip there!

Very good cheese steaks a bit pricey!

Changing to the new chicken they now use for the chicken cheesesteaks was not a good idea. I once loved Philly Connection and was very excited to see the return in my area, but I doubt if I'll ever go back.

In the Auburn location and the service is fantastic. The food is delicious and more than enough.Very clean. Will come back and tell my friends

The sandwich that I paid for was not prepared properly. The bread was toasted to hard, I asked for lettuce, tomato, mayo, black pepper and salt, the salt and pepper was sprinkled on the meat and the rest was thrown on the side, and the that prepared it stated that she didn’t know that I wanted on my sandwich. This is poor customer service, and not to mention unprofessional. I will not be eating here again.

Wow! What happened? I just picked up a 10" Original. It was horrible! They used to melt in your mouth. I never want to eat a sandwich from there ever again! Yuck! You need to get back to how you used to cook these .

Walked out after seeing the cook not have her mask up over nose.

Sandwiches here are 3/5 flavors could be a lil more packed in.

I read a news article today about the owner of this Resturant. That he gives free meals to first responders on 9/11. Because the owner survived 9/11. He was on the 49th floor of the north towers the day the towers were hit. You are a blessing to be on this earth and to the community of auburn of what you do.

Ordered com Grubhub with high expectations based on prior reviews. I was super disappointed in the small flavorless sandwich. Maybe I have unrealistic expectations having lived in so many places (PA included) that Alabama just can't compete. It I definitely regret spending nearly $20 on a tiny dry cheesesteak, some fries and a coke.

I love the fact they play Fox News. It's a lot better than fake news CNN. Food is amazing. Staff is nice. But bathrooms are kinda dirty. I stop by every time I pass through Auburn.

Snellville closed several years ago. It I my favoite Philly place.

The customer service was great. The cashier was friendly. The food was okay. The main issues were that the air conditioners had a lot of condensation and mold. The gross water was dripping down onto the tables. The other issue was that TV was not kids friendly and showed someone getting their throat slit. The paper paper towel dispenser was also broken in the bathroom and the floor was dirty. The overall dining experience would have been more pleasant if the restaurant was in better shape.

Good food at a decent price! The owners are nice as well.

Great Place to get a bite to eat. I ordered the 5inch Philly with chicken and cheese. I truly enjoyed it down to the sauce on my fingers.

It was a good sandwich. I had the cheesesteak one. I love it had all the fixings and didn't need any mayonnaise for mine.

I hadn't ate at Philly connection in over 11 yrs and today I stopped by the auburn location. Although the service was great the quality of the cheese steak was NOT! It sure didn't taste the same as I fondly remembered. The meat itself tasted synthetic and soy based. If this is the new norm in ALL Philly connection locations? I will just have to live in the memory when quality didn't have to suffer . Farewell Philly connection, you will be missed

Always excellent. This is a great location. Some are just mediocre. This location has fried sides as well. All of them do not. We live in Florida, and there aren't any near us. I stop about every two months, and reheat them. Love our Philly Connection .........

The cheese steak sandwich was extremely good, as was the sweet tea. The curly fries were okay, hot and cooked perfect, just kinda ordinary. Definitely would go back if in the area and hungry!

Idk what has happened to this place, but it used to be so incredibly good. Eaten it as far back as I can remember. But for the last year,(tonight being the very last time I give it a chance11/3/19) the last 3 times I’ve eaten here have been completely disgusting. Idk what kind of meat they use now but it’s gross. How anyone can eat this I have no clue. Never again philly. Worsttttt by far

The meat need a bit of season. Not too bad but I think if they used bell peppers instead of bananas it would give more flavor. Then if there was enough onions, peppers and cheese to see would be great. And if the condiments were put on before the meat it would be close to perfect. Drinks are way too high.

Would eat here so often I didn't have to give my order.. they knew exactly what I wanted and what substitutions I like..

Came in the building n was greeted by a team of women on staff ready to take my order. I never ate here so this was a 1st. Was amazed by the recommendations Angela (manager) gave me. She personally seen to it I had a great 1st experience at Philly Connections. Even when I complained bout what I assume be a bit pricey for such meal she assured me the meal was worth every penny. I'm glad she convince me to try it out.. My Philly was made by her n it was amazing. The staff seem very tentive of making sure the best service is provided to each person that came in the door. I don't know who the owner is but that Lady Angela definitely needs a raise ASAP or her own Philly Connections to run.. THANKS SO MUCH Angela n staff ..
